Category 3 · ELEVATED FLOOD RISK

Flood Watch

Redondo Beach, WA

Day 1: 2026-06-19

CATEGORY 3

WHAT
A Category 3 event is expected, driven mostly by the relatively high tide levels. Pressure is slightly below normal, but onshore winds are very light.

WHEN
Peak water levels are likely around the morning high tide near 8:12 AM and again in the late evening around 10:18 PM.

IMPACTS
• Minor inundation possible near the immediate shoreline.

REASONING
High tide was the main contributor to this Category 3 classification, with a modest boost from slightly below-normal pressure. Onshore wind provided very little additional push.

Day 2: 2026-06-20

CATEGORY 3

WHAT
Another Category 3 classification is indicated, again due to elevated tidal levels. Pressure remains near or just below typical values, and wind has minimal impact.

WHEN
Peak risk around the mid-morning high tide near 9:24 AM and late at night around 11:00 PM.

IMPACTS
• Minor inundation possible near the immediate shoreline.

REASONING
Higher-than-usual tide is still the main driver, supported by modestly lower pressure. The onshore wind component is not strong enough to make a large difference.

Day 3: 2026-06-21

CATEGORY 2

WHAT
A Category 2 classification signals no flood risk. Tide levels are somewhat elevated, but overall conditions are calmer compared to the previous days.

WHEN
Highest water around mid-morning at about 10:48 AM and late evening near 11:42 PM.

IMPACTS
• No impact anticipated.

REASONING
Although the tide is still slightly high, normal pressure and negligible onshore wind result in no expected flooding issues.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
