Flood Watch

Redondo Beach, WA

Day 1: 2025-03-26

CATEGORY 2

WHAT
No coastal flooding is expected. Although the early morning high tide reaches nearly 19 feet, the barometric pressure (around 996.66 hPa) is not sufficiently low, and NOAA indicates a 0% flood likelihood.

WHEN
Highest tide occurs around 03:12 AM local time.

IMPACTS
No flooding impacts anticipated. Low-lying roads and beach areas should remain clear, and routine activities should not be affected.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

Historical events that reached Category 3 or higher typically involved either tide heights above 20 ft and/or notably lower pressures (closer to or below 992.8 hPa). Despite today’s moderate pressure, the wind is not strong or aligned unfavorably, and NOAA’s latest estimates show effectively no flood risk.

Day 2: 2025-03-27

CATEGORY 2

WHAT
No notable flood risk is expected. The predawn high tide approaches 19.3 ft with a barometric pressure near 1013.97 hPa, which is well above the critical low-pressure threshold.

WHEN
Highest tidal concern near 03:30–04:00 AM local time, followed by a midday high tide (around 15 ft) with even higher pressure (approximately 1018.12 hPa).

IMPACTS
No property damage or inundation concerns anticipated. Normal beach and shoreline usage should be unaffected.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

Compared with past Category 3–5 events, today’s tide heights are lower, and the barometric pressure is higher than conditions that have historically led to flooding. NOAA’s flood likelihood remains at 0%.

Day 3: 2025-03-28

CATEGORY 2

WHAT
Again, no risk of flooding. Early morning high tide is approximately 19.6 ft with barometric pressure around 1014.90 hPa. NOAA flood likelihood stays at 0%.

WHEN
Peak tide occurs around 04:00 AM local time, with another elevated tide midafternoon (approaching 18 ft) but healthier pressures in the 1013–1014 hPa range.

IMPACTS
No observed or expected impacts to property or coastal areas.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

The tide heights are below the historically significant 21 ft mark, and the barometric pressure remains well above the critical 992.8 hPa level. Wind speeds and directions do not indicate any added push of water inland.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
