What we collect
Two things, and only if you ask us to:
- The phone number you give us, to send SMS alerts.
- The email address you give us, to send the longer forecast email.
We do not run analytics on this website. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session replay, no A/B testing. Web-server logs from the host (GitHub Pages) record ordinary request metadata that neither you nor we control.
Where it lives
Subscriber info is kept in a private Google Sheet accessible only to the operator. It is not synced to a third-party CRM, not sold, not shared with anyone running adjacent projects.
Third parties that touch your data
- Twilio delivers the SMS messages. Your phone number reaches their system when an alert is sent.
- Google (Gmail / Sheets) stores the subscriber list and sends the email alerts.
- NOAA, Open-Meteo, ERA5, and the major weather ensemble providers receive no personal information from this site — we only read forecast data from them.
Removing yourself
Reply STOP to any SMS, or email the contact address on the contact page and we will delete your entry from the subscriber list within 24 hours.
