By default, alerts go out when the forecast hits Category 3 or higher — a handful of times a year, only during actual events. You can also opt into the full twice-daily report if you want every run.

What you'll get

Cat 3+ alerts only (default) — a text or email the afternoon before, when a Cat 3+ event is forecast for the next night. Usually silent for weeks at a time.
Or every report — if you want the raw data stream, opt into the full twice-daily feed. Same reasoning, same classifier output, just every run instead of only the loud ones.
Optional longer email with the full reasoning: tide, pressure, wind, and which past floods tonight looks like.

What we do with your info

Your phone number and email sit in a private Google Sheet only the operator can see. They're used to send alerts — nothing else. No analytics, no sharing, no newsletter. Unsubscribe any time by replying STOP or emailing the contact address.
